LA Fire Recovery: How To Help From Anywhere

With so much of the entertainment industry based in Los Angeles, certainly most people from the music & media community know someone who was affected by one of the numerous fires in Los Angeles in January 2025. The recovery is estimated to take 1-2 years. We would love as much help as we can get! Here are some ways you can help from anywhere in the world!

Thousands of pounds of clothes have been “donated” to fire survivors. Unfortunately, it’s an excessive amount, and much of the clothing is unwearable. Suay Sew Shop is an LA-based business committed to reducing textile waste. Sponsor one of their donation bags for $20, to help give these unwearable textiles another life and keep them out of dumps!

Predatory landlords are pouncing on the “opportunity” to price gouge people who suddenly and desperately find themselves on the rental market. Tonight while you’re watching TV, watch this how-to video and and report any landlords who have suddenly jacked up their rates!

Disabled folks have lost everything and the cost to replace their unique medical supplies can be stifling. Help out a disabled household with a donation to their Go Fund Me. The lines that are highlighted red are the furthest from their goals and could use the biggest boost!

Incarcerated people who have opted into a fire fighting program are being paid something like $30/day to risk their lives to fight these fires. The Anti-Recidivism Coalition is collecting donations to send directly to them so they can earn a more fair rate for their.

There’s no denying climate change played a big part in this. It’s coming for all of us! Sign this petition to enact a law in California that will work to hold big oil responsible for the massive problems they continue to cause.

Money or time? If you can spend one of these things, it would be a huge help to the community here in Los Angeles.

Thank you!
